Meet Gail, Your Photo Booth Attendant
So much of my success as a wedding DJ and officiant is due to my wife Gail
Mostov DJ Services may be my business, but it is definitely a family operation. Couples who book my Gold or Platinum Wedding DJ Packages are sure to meet my wife, Gail.
Gail is my lifeline in many ways. She helps to keep me organized, her eclectic taste in music introduces me to new bands and artists on the daily, and she often accompanies me to weddings to assist with the set up, operation, and break down of equipment. Occasionally, she even takes my place behind the DJ booth—especially when I am officiating the wedding ceremony or operating the Chauvet Nimbus to create the cloud for a couple's first dance. But more than all of this, she prepares, operates, and troubleshoots my photo booths.
The photo booth is included in my Gold and Platinum Wedding DJ Packages, but it can also be added to the Bronze and Silver Packages at an additional cost. A photo booth package can also be booked without DJ service. Whenever the photo booth is operational, she is the one working the magic.
When a couple purchases a photo booth for their wedding, Gail reaches out to first understand the theming and tone of their reception. Once she has discerned the couple's vision and expectations, she shares the different photo strip templates available to them. She then takes the couple's ideas and customizes two or three photo strip samples, adding appropriate background and text. One of her many talents is matching the clients' photo strip backgrounds to their wedding invitations, a service couples really enjoy. She spends hours at the computer preparing the samples, then presents the different designs for couples to choose from. After the couple selects their preferred photo strip, Gail goes back to to work, first preparing their photo booth file, then preparing their specific prop kit.
Photo booth customization is a long process, but her work does not end there. Gail is also the photo booth attendant the day of the wedding. She sets up early, tests the equipment, organizes and maintains the prop station, and operates the photo booth printer. She also prepares the couple's photo strip memory book, if purchased. And late in the evening as the reception nears its end, Gail actively seeks out those who have not yet visited the photo booth, encouraging them to do so. She makes sure that everyone enjoys the experience before the reception ends.
Couples rave about Gail's work. I often suspect that she is more popular at weddings than I am, and for good reason. She is the heart and soul of Mostov DJ Services. She is my world, and I am always the very best version of myself when she is by my side.
