Not sure where to start? Press playâInspiration is one song away
Planning your wedding music shouldnât feel overwhelmingâbut if youâre not someone who lives and breathes music, choosing songs for every moment of the day can feel like a lot. Between the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and finally opening that dance floorâŠthere are many decisions packed into one celebration.
So if you're staring at a blank playlist thinking, âWe donât know enough music to pull this off,ââtake a breath. You're exactly who this page was created for.
Below, youâll find playlists designed to spark ideas, help you narrow down choices, and give you confidence about the soundtrack for your dayâwhether you want to handpick every moment or trust me with full DJ discretion.
Use these playlists however you'd like:
â As inspiration
â As a starting point
â As a reference
â Or as the full roadmap to your celebration
There are no rulesâjust options.Â
Start building your soundtrack.
Each playlist below is linked to its own image or iconâjust tap or click whatever playlist you want to explore. Whether you're searching for a meaningful first dance song, scrolling for dinner music vibes, or hunting down party anthems that get everyone dancing, youâll find it here.
If you'd rather explore every playlist in one place instead of browsing section by section, youâll find a direct link to my full public Spotify profile toward the bottom of the page.
Below, youâll find playlists featuring popular song options for meaningful moments such as processionals, recessionals, grand entrances, first dances, father-daughter and mother-son dances, cake cutting, private last dances, and more.
These are suggestionsânot rules. Your wedding should feel uniquely you, and the music you choose is a huge part of that. If a song holds meaning, even if it isnât âtraditionally wedding appropriate,â use it proudly.
But if finding that perfect song feels impossible or you keep telling yourself, âWeâll know it when we hear it,â the most commonly loved options are ready and waiting.
If youâve chosen DJ discretion or you're curious what a smooth, intentional music flow looks like, this section gives you a peek behind the booth.
Here youâll find full customized playlists that were created by request for couples I have DJed for in the past.Â
These include:
Pre-Ceremony Music
Cocktail Hour / Dinner
Open Dancing
These arenât rigid templatesâtheyâre examples of the pacing, energy, and variety I craft at each wedding to keep the atmosphere relaxed, meaningful, and fun.
Once the dance floor opens, things get delightfully unpredictableâand having a wide range of music that spans generations is key.
This section includes alphabetized lists of songs by era, vibe, genre, and crowd type. Motown classics, country hits, pop-punk nostalgia, sing-along classic rock, early 2000s bangers, Latin party hits, today's K-Pop, guilty pleasures, and line dancesâthey are all here. And the playlists just keep coming!
Feel free to mix and match. The goal? A dance floor where everyoneâfrom your college roommate to Grandma Bettyâhears something they love.
Weddings may be the heart of what I doâbut theyâre not the only events I DJ.
This section includes alphabetized lists of songs for:
Corporate Events and Staff Appreciations
Bar and Bat Mitzvahs and Quinceañeras
School Dances and Graduation celebrations
Family Reunions and Celebrations of Life
Holiday events (e.g., Valentines Day, Christmas, and NYE)
Sporting Events, Tailgates, and Car Shows
Summertime Fun, Such as Luaus and Pool PartiesÂ
And other themed celebrations
If you ever need music outside the wedding world, there will be something here for you, too.
As a certified Responsible DJ for the School Dance Network, it only makes sense to begin here. To the right is the playlist I worked from for middle school dances in 2025. The songs proved incredibly popular with students. They were entertained and engaged, and the lyrics were free of inappropriate language and themes.
Not every playlist needs to be tied to a timeline or event. Some music exists purely because it feels good â and sometimes thatâs reason enough. This final section features playlists built for the moments that donât require an invitation, a dress code, or a guest list.
These mixes are meant for road trips, Saturday cleaning sessions, singalongs in the shower, backyard fires, late-night drives, nostalgia rabbit holes, and days when you just need a little dose of joy or motivation. You might find music you forgot existed, guilty pleasures that make you laugh, or "Oh, wow, I haven't heard this in years!" moments that instantly remind you of a time, a place, or a person.
If you listen, laugh, smile, or end up singing along, then the playlists did their jobs.
So what will you find in this last section of the page?
The first two playlists in this section are personal. I wanted to properly introduce myself to those who stop by, and the best way I know to do that is through music, so the section begins with two playlists that feature some of my own favorite songs. If you listen, you will know your DJ that much better.
The next playlists are themed. Every week in 2026, I will share a new playlist of 30 songs that collectively represent the week's theme. I'm hoping that visitors to my website will recommend themes, but if not, I have plenty of ideas already. For years, I co-hosted a podcast titled GenXmixtape. My best friend Dave and I would select a new theme each week to create an imagined mixtape (we were both 80s kids who lived, breathed, and died by the cultural phenomena of mixtapes), then we would discuss, debate, and defend our song choices. It was a blast, and at our peak, we had more than 2,000 listeners each week. Sadly, the podcast has ended, but I miss creating those imagined mixtapes. So, I figured, 'Why not continue and share the playlists here on my website?' After all, that is what DJs do. I hope visitors to my website will give them a listen, but it really is a vanity project. If no one listens but me, that is okay, too. Â
And then, we get to the end of this last section...
As the section draws to its conclusion, you will find playlists that are a bit...different. I did not create these final playlists; I discovered them on Spotify, and added them to my own playlists to be shared here. As the title of this last section suggests, these final playlists are Just for Fun. Perhaps these final playlists should be filed under "Hold My Beer" and "Challenge Accepted" because those who created them did so just to see if they could. They do serve a purpose here on my page, though. Namely, I want to make you laugh.Â
I believe that a day without laughter is a day wasted, and these playlists are truly funny. I think so, anyway. I hope you find them as much fun as I do.Â
Use all of the playlists in this section whenever you need inspiration, nostalgia, or a mental reset.
