There is a part of this job that happens outside the timeline.

It unfolds in the quiet spaces between what everyone sees — along the miles between home and the venue, in the hour before setup, in the moments before music begins, and within the stillness that settles in once the night has ended and everything has been packed away. Over time, those spaces have led me into places I never would have discovered otherwise.

Restaurants tucked just beyond the venue.
Meals that arrive exactly when they are needed most.
Experiences that, somehow, become part of the day itself.

Over time, I’ve started to write some of them down—not as a ranking, and not as anything more complicated than what they are, but as a collection of remarkable meals discovered along the way, places run by people who care deeply about what they do, and whose food made the miles, the work, and the long days feel more than worth it. Some I found on purpose. Others I stumbled into. All of them stayed with me; all of them are worth the drive.
